I am grateful to my good friend Kim Michels for introducing me to the horses. She is an outstanding wild horse photographer and is thoroughly familiar with the Pryor Mountain mustangs as well as the McCullough Peaks wild horses. A stallion from the McCullough Peaks wild horse range east of Cody, WY.
This mare (Encore) is the offspring of a well known stallion (Cloud) in the Pryor Mountains of Montana.

These two horses in the Pryor Mountains are fixin' to have a face off, the wrong way.
This wild stallion is pushing his Pinto mares from behind, moving them to a less threatening location, protecting them from a hostile takeover. This is the only all- pinto band of horses on the McCullough Peaks Wild Horse Range near Cody, Wyoming.
He's not whispering sweet nothings! These wild stallions are a contentious lot from the Pryor Mountains in Montana. The horse on top is Mato Ska (pronounced Ma Toe Ska).The grullo colored horse (on the bottom) is Moorcroft. They were both born in 2012.
Four horses put aside their differences to share a drink at their favorite watering hole.
A band of wild horses runs across a Pryor Mountain meadow some 300 yards away. The wild mustangs found in the Pryor Mountains of Montana are said to be descendants of the Spanish conquistadors' horses. A tight crop and texturizing made this photo useable for card sized photos (up to 5x7).

This mare got a little frisky on a Wyoming wild horse range. The mustangs found on this range are thought to be the progeny of Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West show horses.
